Gelukkig nieuwjaar allemaal! Een nieuw jaar, de feestdagen zijn achter de rug en zo ook de familie diners dus nu is er eindelijk weer tijd om te tangelen. Omdat ik in december niet zoveel deed besloot ik in januari dagelijks een zentangle te maken. Ik maakte een lijst met 'opdrachten' en plaatste deze op Instagram, ik noemde het Zenuari. Best wel wat mensen besloten hieraan mee te doen. Dank je wel daarvoor, heel leuk!
Om alle opdrachten wat meer te verduidelijken voor iedereen maakte ik deze lijst. Hopelijk helpt het.
Happy New Year to all of you! A new year, no more holidays and family dinners so finally there is time to tangle again. Because I didn't do much in December I decided to do a tangle a day in January. I made a list with prompts and posted it on Instagram, I called it Zenuari. Quite a few people decided to join the fun! Thank you for that guys!
To make all the prompts a bit more clear to everyone I decided to make this list. I hope that helps.
1. 2015: Laat je inspireren door het nieuwe jaar.
How can you let the new year inspire you?
2. Stars: Gebruik sterren in je tekening, op welke manier dan ook!
Try to incorporate stars in your design, in any way possible.
3. Official tangles only: Limiteer jezelf door alleen officiële tangles te gebruiken, kijk voor een lijst op de website

4. No strings: Normaal gesproken begin je een zentangle met een string. Vandaag begin je echter te tangelen en zie je waar het op uitdraait.
Normally you would start your zentangle tile by drawing a string. Today, you start to tangle and see where you will end up.
5. Black-out: Probeer een deel van je tile of de hele achtergrond zwart te maken. Wees creatief, je kunt als je wilt met witte pen tangelen over het zwarte heen.
Try to incorporate a black space or black background in your tile today. Be creative about it, you can tangle white on top of a black space if you want.

6. Word(s): Niet veel woorden nodig om deze uit te leggen.... Gebruik letters, een woord, een quote, wat je maar wilt!
This one does not need much words of explanation i guess.. Make use of letters, a word, a quote, whatever pleases you!
7. Duotangle: Limiteer jezelf door maar twee tangles te gebruiken vandaag. Natuurlijk kun je je creativiteit de vrije loop laten door de tangles een beetje aan te passen! (Tangleations)
Limit yourself by only using two tangles in your tile today. Of course you can be creative by using altering the tangles you use today (tangleations).
8. Background wash: Geef je tile, door middel van watercolor of wat je leuk vindt een kleurige achtergrond.
Giving your tile a background wash with watercolor or the medium you like, will make an extra special tile today.
9. Winter: Wat komt er in je op als je denkt aan de winter? Probeer dit gevoel weer te geven in je tile. Als er tangles zijn die je een winters gevoel gevel, gebruik die dan!
What comes to mind when you think of winter? Transfer this feeling onto your tile. If there are tangles that remind you of winter, use them!
10. Blind string: Heel gemakkelijk... Doe je ogen dicht als je de string tekent en laat je verrassen door de uitkomst!
Easy... Close your eyes when you draw the string and let the outcome surprise you.
11. Zendala sunday: Deze zondag maak je een Zendala! Zentangle+mandala =zendala!
This sunday, make a Zendala. Zentangle+mandala = zendala!
12. Biggify: Als je op mij lijkt, dan heb je vast tangles die je altijd klein tekent. Zo is mijn Poke Root altijd klein! Wat zou er gebeuren als je voor deze tile deze tangles juist heel groot tekent!
If your like me , you have tangles you always draw s,mall. For example, my Poke Root is always tiny. What happens if you intentionally try to draw them bigger this time?
13. Use only tangles that start with your initials: Vandaag mag je zoveel tangles gebruiken als je wilt, maar ze moeten wel beginnen met jouw initialen.
Pretty straight forward, you can use as many tangles as you like, just make sure they start with your initials.
14. Circles: Gebruik cirkels in je tekening, op welke manier dan ook!
Try to incorporate circles in your design, in any way possible.
15. Negative space: Veel mensen vinden het moeilijk om delen van hun tile wit te laten. Maar wat als je wit ziet als een onderdeel van je ontwerp, net als tangles? Experimenteer met het leeg laten van een aantal delen van je tile vandaag!
I know most people find it challenging to leave some white in their tiles. But what if you saw white as another design element, just like the tangles. Experiment with leaving some space untouched today!
16. Tangle a garden: Wees creatief, tangle een tuintje op je tile!
Get creative, tangle a garden on your tile!
17. Tangleations: 'Tangleations' is een officieel begrip van zentangle. Hieronder heb ik gekopieerd wat er op zentangle.com over beschreven staat.

Tangleation
A variation of a tangle by itself or in combination with one or more tangles. Basic tangles are like paint out of a tube. Tangleations are the result of altering a tangle, or mixing one or more basic tangles together in different proportions.
18. Monotangle: Vandaag kies je maar één tangles om je tile te maken. Kies verstandig!!😉
Today, you get to use only one tangle to make your tile with. Choose wisely! 😉.
19. Let someone else draw the string: Vrij duidelijk denk ik, vraag je man, kind, collega, buurvrouw of hond om een string voor je te tekenen.
Pretty clear I guess, just ask your husband, child, co-worker, neighbor or dog to draw a string for you!
20. Frame: Gebruik tangles om een frame te maken op je tile vandaag. Misschien wil je wel een foto toevoegen?
Use tangles to make a frame on a tile today. Maybe you want to include a picture?
21. Legend tangle: Deze opdracht heeft wat toelichting nodig. Een legend is een kaartje, gemaakt door zentangle met daarop 20 tangles. Door het rollen van een icosaeder wordt de tangle die je gaat tekenen bepaald. Als je geen legend of icosaeder hebt, maak dan een lijstje en rol een gewone dobbelsteen. (

Ok, this is one which needs some clarification i think. A legend is a card made by Zentangle which includes 20 tangles. By rolling a icosaeder you know which tangle to use. If you don't have a legend or icosaeder, you can simply make a list and roll a dice. (Click here for the explanation by Rick and Maria.)

22. Spiral(s): Gebruik spiralen in je tekening, op welke manier dan ook!
Try to incorporate spirals in your design, in any way possible.
23. Initials string: Teken een string in de vorm van je initialen.
Draw a string in the shape of your initials.
24. No border: Gebruik alle ruimte, vul de tile volledig op.
Completely fill up your tile, use all the space you have!
25. Hint of a tint: Voeg een beetje kleur toe aan je tile.
Add a bit of color to your tile.
26. Sparkle: Voeg wat glans en/of glitters toe.
Add a little sparkle/shimmer to your tile.
27. Tritangle: Limiteer jezelf door maar drie tangles te gebruiken vandaag. Natuurlijk kun je je creativiteit de vrije loop laten door de tangles een beetje aan te passen

29. Yin Yang: Ik vermoed dat iedereen wel het Yin Yang symbool kent. Laat jezelf vandaag inspireren door dit symbool!
I guess you all know the Yin Yang symbol. Try to let this symbol inspire you for your zentangle today.
30. Duo tone: Gebruik twee verschillende kleuren fine liner voor de zentangle van vandaag.
Use two different color fine liners for todays zentangle.
